Research affirms that increased transparency boosts consumers’ trust in the food they eat and how it is produced. As a result, being transparent about their operations is no longer an option for farmers and ranchers. Charlie Arnot is CEO of The Center for Food Integrity and spoke to farmers and ranchers attending the American Farm Bureau annual convention in Orlando, Florida. He says they need to be willing to have conversations about what they do in order to build trust with the public.
