PODCAST: Weed Control Technology
Research and development of new weed control technology is an ongoing effort as more weeds are becoming resistant to glyphosate and other existing herbicides. Pending their approval, new technologies may be soon be available. Until then, many farmers are having to return to pre- and post-emergence methods of control they haven’t used in years. Dr. Tom Barber, University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture associate professor of Weed Science, updated farmers and ranchers on what they may expect in 2016 and beyond at Arkansas Farm Bureau’s annual convention Dec. 3.
