The AFBF Board of Directors has adopted the following list of priority issues for 2010.
The priority list focuses Farm Bureau’s policy implementation efforts on key issues in the areas of dairy, disaster, energy, environmental issues, food safety, immigration, trade and taxes.
The board also approved two issues below as Priority Grassroots Campaign Issues. We will continue our organization-wide efforts to defeat the Cap-and-Trade/Climate Change legislation pending in the Senate. In 2010 we will also initiate an organization-wide grassroots campaign around the expected debate on estate taxes and capital gains.
